Painting this honey was a beautifully relaxing, flowing experience. After months of immersive work on two quite complex paintings on a challenging theme, I really needed to let loose and play in the sunshine! And the feeling of that seemed to flow effortlessly through my hands and onto the canvas that turned into ‘Through The Window’. It felt good. I don’t usually paint this simply, – I’m a lover of tiny details smudged in over time – but it’s good to mix it up sometimes. ‘Different’ is good.
