I was in full volcano mode when I painted this! My enthusiasm just exploded onto the canvas and ran riot. I couldn’t stop – the colours were waving and shouting at me to be picked and used, and the feeling of huge potential ‘ready’ to fulfil itself – scale new heights, break down barriers, do something radically different and powerful – was so strong, it felt like a river of red hot lava – utterly unstoppable!
